SUMMARY:Brotherly
DESCRIPTION:Groups where fellowship is based on the shared struggle for a sometimes questionable greater whole are on the rise again in society.\nBrotherly , a choreographic work for three diverse dancers, turns the gaze towards the human in such groups – to bodies firmly bound by principles, yet voluntary participants in their own restriction. To this end, Brotherly explores the controlled body in traditional forms of Irish dance, specifically Riverdance – bodies in a line, with arms tight and immobile against the torso, and spirited footwork; a form that emerged in response to British rule during the 19th century, originally a revival of Irish culture, now evolved into the competitive scene it is today.\nIn the trio Brotherly, Irish step dance merges with contemporary dance into a restless journey where three bodies are bound by a double-edged dynamism; a gradual revealing of the human spirit through struggle, yet also the life giving and playfulness of companionship.\n\nLos grupos donde la camaradería se basa en la lucha compartida por un todo mayor, a veces cuestionable, están resurgiendo en la sociedad.\nBrotherly, una obra coreográfica para tres bailarines diversos, dirige la mirada hacia lo humano en estos grupos: hacia cuerpos firmemente unidos por principios, pero que participan voluntariamente en sus propias restricciones. And Visual Fund, Norwegian Arts Council, Fund For Performing Artists, Hanne Frostad Håkonsen, Viken Fylkeskommune, Oslo Kommune, Roza Moshtaghi, Annika Ostwald, Nan Van Houte\nComposición Musical:\nMorgan Hickinbotham\nClasificaciones: Teatro, Presencial, Adultos\n
